Ehh...portions are kinda small for the prices.... Service was pretty decent.... On a higher note...even though the portions were small...I had this for lunch and never really did eat dinner...so it took me through the day...hahaha...maybe it's the wine...But, I digress... It's a Leo's...what more do you expect.... I dunno... Who ever really knows.... pluhhhh.....

I'm loving their Mini Greek Salad /Combo Having just started trying Leos, the mini Greek combo is well worth it. Nice mixture of feta, beets, pepprocini , chi chi beans & the Leos Greek dressing is awesome! The Gyro was not skimpy on meat at all & the perfect amount of white/cucumber dressing. Service was swift & efficient

Not sure about all the negative reviews. I eat here about 1 a week and always have had great service. The orders come out quickly and hot. You can't go wrong with 99 coney dogs M-F for the whole month of February. I have to question the remarks about the owners being hands off and not there. I almost always see one of the owners when I visit the 25 mile or hall road locations.

This used to be the best place in the area to eat. My favorite was the michigan salad or the chicken Caesar wrap. The last three times the chicken had no flavor and pieces of it tasted like it had gone bad. It was awful. We were desperate today so I ordered fish and hash browns well done and the husband ordered an omelet with well done hash browns. Their hash browns were not cooked all the way through and neither was my fish. We're called to talk to a manager who we were told is the owner who we are told is never there. This place is awful.

This place has gone from bad to worst. First of all I was given a table with a clear view of the kitchen counter and the waitstaff prep area. I'm pretty sure no one here has ever attended a safe serve class. My waitress used her bare hands to put ice in the glasses and then a slice of lemon. Then went to the sink and filled the glasses still without washing. I also witnessed her picking up trash off the floor and then handling people's food and drinks. Later my Dinner arrived with a big ketchup thumb print on the edge of the plate as proof that this person never washes nor cares. I will never be going back there again and neither should you!

I never thought I'd say this about a Coney Island, but the meal I had here was one of the worst I've ever had. We went on a Friday and got both of the fish specials -- baked cod and fried fish. My baked cod was like a piece of rubber and my wife's fried fish was tough and had more breading than fish and the breading tasted like burnt pancake. The fries were cold and limp. Why didn't we send it back? It took forever to get in the first place and we would have if our waitress had come back in any reasonable time. Yes, they were busy, but the wait staff seemed to run out of the kitchen and then vanish right back again. I've never thought that Leo's was quite as good as some of the other big chains, but this location seems to be among the worst. I will never eat here again.

Well like the others say this is not the greatest place on earth. In their defense it is a good place for greasy hangover food. More to follow

After reading the bad reviews - I'm surprised and wonder if management has gotten things better/cleaner? We eat at this Leo's in Shelby Township at least a few times a week. I have a very high opinion of the cleanliness of the establishment and feel that the food is reliably good. Yes, the wait staff is young...and yes they don't know everything...but they are always friendly and will serve you with a smile. We order the chicken salads, French toast and ham/cheese pretzel sandwich on a regular basis. All are cooked to order and delicious!

There are nights when you come home from work, and peek into the fridge, and think to yourself "Hmm, I don't see anything that I want to eat in here." You look up at your wife and ask her, "Do you want to go to Leo's?" And off you go. In our household, this happens at least once a week. We have been customers since the Shelby Twp Coney island restaurant opened its doors. This review is more about a trend, rather than a specific dining experience. One thing is always true -- the food served has been fairly consistent in preparation. And they will work with you if you have special dietary needs. They will even swap a baked potato for a dish that calls for rice. But they don't always tell you it's an up-charge. And the up-charge has varied from nothing at all to $1.00. But all-in-all, the food is consistently average. It fills the bill, but don't expect a fancy meal. The staff has changed over time as well. Since Sharon left the location, things have been wobbly at times in service. The young gals sometimes get overwhelmed at the rushes that can come at them. But on the whole, if you realize many of these gals are either in school, or freshly out of school, they're doing the best they can. Another tip -- ALWAYS look for coupons. They are everywhere in the local flyers. If you don't get at least $1.00 off your dinner, shame on you. They also have a loyalty card which would get you 5% back for later use. Just ask the staff for one. So, this remains part of our weekly rotation of restaurants. And will likely continue in the future. Honey, I don't feel like making anything tonight - do you want to go to Leo's?

My wife and I have been to Leo's twice now. The first time the food (coney dogs) were decent, however the wait was over 25 minutes once seated, and the service was quite poor. However, the 2nd time (because it was convenient) we had dinner, this evening (May 7th) and the food (Italian special) was disgusting, and cold. Consequently, I split my wife's dinner with her, which considered poor. My food, Ravioli, actually made me physically sick after leaving. I'm quite concerned about health and kitchen issues with this restaurant. They still charged me for the food, which has never ever happened to me before, and insulted my wife and I by giving us a minor discount on my food, because I ate some of it. We were in this "fast food" restaurant for over an hour! We waited over 30 minutes for our food, and never even got a refill on our water. Worse restaurant experience I have ever had! We will be reporting the bad food to the County Health Department, and Shelby Township, as we don't want this to happen to others. Stay away if you value your health.

The food I will give 4 stars but the service sucked! Waitress didn't check on me once! My soda sat empty my entire meal . Waitress was only at my table to take my order and deliver the check!

Don't waste your money here.....just left there 6/27/12 All the waitresses standing around while customers wait. I ordered a loose buger and fries with a coke....simple huh? Not so much....thinking of calling the health dept as the burger was Barely warm, fries were okay as was the coke. Told the waitress and she brought me another....still barely warm after telling her what was wrong. Asked to see manager, she just looked at me like I was crazy.....didn't say anything took the food and .......walked out without paying. Stay away from this one!!!

The food is kind of hit-and miss. Or maybe just-barely-meet-the-mark and miss. I've had breakfast here once and dinner here a few times and nothing has really stood out as spectacular. Nothing very delectable, delicious, delightful or any other of those pleasant adjectives for plain old good food. Once, my dish was cold in the middle. I didn't complain about it because when I discovered this, everyone else I was with had just about finished eating, and (maybe more so) I don't like to have complain about food in general. It makes me feel like a whiny jerk, though I do realize trying to spear cold patstitio is generally unacceptable. The chicken pita (hani, but they just list it as a pita) was decent and the breakfast is okay, but there are definitely better places to go for those. Sandwiches are horrible. The corned beef is chewy and leathery. Ew. I would say, if you have to come here, go for a breakfast. But on second thought, after realizing how many bad meals I've had here: if you have to come here, just make up some kind of excuse.

Lots of young people working so it can get loud and annoying real fast. The menu is messed up. I go to order pancakes and it doesnt list how many I get so I ask our waitress and she tells me to look on the menu. I wouldnt go back.

The food was good and very reasonable. The place is however dirty. When you walk up to the front door the inside of the push bar facing you is covered with grim. It's obvious nobody has gone over it with a wet soapy rag in months. The table tops are tacky - They are obviously never ever washed with hot soapy water. Just wiped with a dirty cold bar towel so there are no visible lumps. The sugar and salt and pepper containers have little crumbs and smears of tomato sauce and stuff on them, and the individual butter packs I got were all stuck together with syrup from a previous breakfast. They stuck to my hand when I tried to open them. Yuck. The toilet in the men's room was something out of a third world prison. I'm fussy enough the grime killed the positive points for me.

I love Leo's Coney Island! The service was great and the waitresses were extremely friendly. The food was better than any other coney island I've been to. The specials are all homemade and they are phenomenal (my favorite is the Pasta Anthena). Leo's is my favorite place to eat and everyone should go try it!
